  • Sounds like a loose connection. You could open it up and make sure the screen connection is seated correctly and locked in. If that is not a problem look closely around the area of that connection for anything that isn't soldered correctly.
  • You might try going to control panel/device manager, right click and ask to remove the display driver, if it asks if you want to remove files from drive say yes, then reboot. It might be that when you reboot windows thinks the old driver is the better and is reinstalling it. You might have to reinstall the new driver. Just…
  • Though it could be the battery there are other things that might have happened, especially if it came on quickly. One thing you might try is to plug the power plug in and out several times quickly. There is a contact that makes and breaks when you plug in the power at the tablet. Other than that it would be internal. There…
  • You might try calibrating the rig. Charge, totally discharge three times is the procedure on some of my battery rigs - instruction book might tell you for sure. My 700P isn't much of a long laster on battery, couple hours. It also goes down on the readout fast when first turned on - 100 to 91 very quickly. There is a video…
  • It has three usb jacks on it. Keeps the unit upright so you can use it with keyboard. I have one, nice when I want more than a tablet but not all that useful - as you said :-)
  • I doubt you can use the restore, but you might try loading linux from a cd version that allows you to run but not install and see if you can see in the partition and look for setup.exe and or something similar. Rather doubt that will work either. I have an all in one and updated to 8 before using the restore to make disks.…
  • The 700P had the ability to make a dvd or usb restore, it was accessable through windows menus. I'm guessing that is what you have. If you can get into windows go to the menus and look for make a restore dvd or something similar and you can make the restore dvd/usb stick. I doubt that you can access it any other way but…
  • Don't have mine with me but the 700P has a utility that allows you to make a restore on usb, maybe dvd, don't recall. Look around in your programs for recovery, restore, or something like that and see if you don't find it. You might look in control panel as well. Acer probably would sell you dvds as well if you call them.
  • Over 800 meg.
  • The instructions say to fully charge, then fully discharge the battery three times. Also there is a calibration of sorts listed on this forum if you search you might find it. Someone else may remember for where it is and post it for you, runs in my mind it was fully charge, go into safe mode and let it discharge but not…
  • Unless I am mistaken the media is created while you are in windows. You would have to be logged in to do so. I doubt that you can get into safe mode but if you could you might be able to create the disk from there. You will probably have to buy the disk from Acer. UNLESS someone else has an idea.
  • Go to control panel/look for an audio device and look around to be sure something is not turned off. Did you go to control panel/device and find audio device and allow it to update driver? Let it look online for it. If that doesn't help let it look on your computer. If nothing else go to device manager and uninstall the…
  • I'm far from being an expert but I'd try moving the tablet around and see if the signal comes back. There should be no connection between hdmi and wireless, thus I'd guess there might be something blocking the signal that is related to the hdmi cable/monitor. If this does not help I think I'd seek service or replacement if…
  • I don't have your unit but found about the same results for a time. Couple of items you might try. Use a stylus to do the calibration. If that doesn't do any good try the calibration but tap off from the Plus signs. Example: If ithe cross is in the upper right tap just a little toward center from the cross. Then do the…
  • I am posting this in case others try to find info on this beast. I got the malware from a user of cloudfilers.pw. It asked to install adobe flash player. I downloaded and ran it, got error message so forgot about looking at them. Next night I noticed the cpu running hard. Opened taskmanager and it was syswin7u8.exe. I…
  • I had done that, had found a directory by the same name, deleted it and another directory that did not belong, deleted it. I think it is okay now but ??? who knows with the creeps out there and what they do to people :-) I know where it came from, going to search that site a little on google and see what else I can find.…
  • w700p also has it I noticed last night.
  • You might go to control panel/device manager, find bluetooth, right click on it and click on properties and ask for it to update driver and allow it to see if it can find it. Allow it to try both your computer then try the internet. You might go to Acer support and search for the driver as well. You might also look around…
  • I have a 700p and it has never shown 100 more like 90 or so.
  • They recommend chargre then run dead three times. Also there are some threads on power saving/settings that may help -- try a search for them.
