  • None of the suggestions worked and I called support ....no resolution there either. they said it was a hardware issue and to return the device for repair. I had just bought it so I decided to return it, I suspect it wasn't a hardware problem but don't really care since I returned it for a refund.
  • I did a full recovery and nothing...when I go to the HDWebcam in the Device Manager, right click ... Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer. I don't know what installshield is...????
  • how do you disable and reenable the usb ports? I'm having the same issue with my webcam
  • I doubt that is the issue. I also have a Samsung Chromebook when I use Google HangOuts on Air and share my screen, I don't get breakup and the audio issues.
  • Thanks but I did all of that and still have issues. It only happens when I'm in Google HangOuts, Screen Share...the audio goes wacky. I even bought a new mic but none of those fixed this. 
  • I just got back from England and used my Acer c720P there without issues, you just need to have a us-uk power adapter
