  • I tried it again, and this time got past the "Getting devices ready" screen, only to fall again at the "CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT" error I remember seeing a solution to about editing a value in the Registry but I can't seem to find the page again. Thanks for your help thus far Jonathan
  • Sorry, was in a bit of a rush to post that in frustration. I am using Windows 8.1 from a USB drive, a clean copy of Windows No peripherals, just the USB drive, I've tried with both UEFI and Legacy in the BIOS and also changing the Trackpad to Basic, etc.
