  • Go to power settings, find where it says low and critical battery and make it not do anything when the laptop hits low or critical battery because even when plugged in, the computer will think it's low on battery and try to shutdown or sleep but then come back on and that's what's dropping your FPS sometimes

The tech I talked with told me the computer gets ready for sleep mode, so if the bios doesn't work, change your settings so that the computer doesn't go to sleep when it reaches "low battery" in the power settings.   • I have the exact same issue. I called in to Acer and they told me the laptop was going into the s3 state, which saves everything to the hard drive before going into hibernate. I tried changing windows settings to not hibernate but it did not fix the slowdown issue.
