It's a custom built desktop. The monitor is plugged into an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080ti video card. The monitor fails to boot even when left off and unplugged from power for 24 hours. It's plugged into the DP of a nvidia 1080ti. I also have a 2nd monitor connected to 1 hdmi port which is working fine. Edit: Blue power light comes on when I plug the monitor in.

It is still under warranty, but it has been replaced already. This is the 2nd monitor with the same symptoms and I don't want to have to pay to ship it back another time. The issue happens even without any hdmi or dp cables attached.

I had an electrician come and check the grounding and it's grounded properly. The monitor was working fine for the last few weeks too, but just yesterday started acting up again. I see the blue led, but no boot splash screen and no video. I left it unplugged overnight and still the issue persists.

Alas, it would appear that there’s a wee Windows bug in the most recent Windows 11 24H2 update that no one asked for this Christmas. The offending bug is causing in-game freezing and even crashes in PCs with Auto HDR enabled. If you’re still on 23H2, then don’t worry, please return to gaming as usual. Also, if your monitor/screen doesn’t have HDR, then the bug will not affect you! If, however, you’ve recently updated to Windows 11 24H2, then it's probably a good idea to figure out a few ways to turn off Auto HDR, and avoid crashing your favorite games. So, if you’re looking to figure out what’s causing this freezing, or maybe you’re just curious about Windows 11 Auto HDR, then you’re in the right place. Try this method to disable Auto HDR, and get on with gaming in peace! If you follow these steps and don't see the Auto HDR toggle, then your display doesn't have HDR features, meaning that something unrelated to Auto HDR is making your games freeze and glitch.
