  • That issue is specific to Metro. It's a bit messed up, with some scenes being very grey. There's a gamma slider in the game which makes it better, but I think it's just a really poor HDR implementation or level design. 1.9 and 2.2 gamma difference is a bit more nuanced, with games generally looking fine.
  • Flickering is harder to spot than vertical lines because it needs a moving image, but the two issues are related. Just use the images provided in the thread and look for the lines instead.
  • It's best not to deal with them directly. If you can, buy it somewhere where can return it without a fuss. In EU you have minimum 14 days to get a full refund on online purchases, faulty or not. Use your legal rights, avoid manufacturer warranty. Test it properly after purchase and send it back immediately while you still…
  • That's great news. I've sent mine back. I'll buy it again once Acer fixes it too.
  • I've tested it with the image https://pcmonitors.info/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/snowy-village.jpg Open it either in full screen (lines visible), or open it on half of the screen and drag the browser size between 50% and 100% = lines + flickering. Mine doesn't show lines when OSD opens, but it often depends on what's on…
  • It doesn't make a difference. It's wouldn't be much of a fix anyway. Those lines appear depending on overall brightness/contrast/color etc. You can make them go away in one scene, they will appear in another. Even playing a youtube clip in a small window with the right content can trigger them. There doesn't seem to be any…
  • Maybe not all of them are exactly the same, and you got a better one. Those lines are very faint and barely noticeable on some backgrounds. This is what it looks like on mine.

  • I've tried it, doesn't change anything. Vertical lines and flickering are still present.
  • The label says Made in China Jul 2019
  • I got X35 this week from amazon uk. Same issue with flickering and vertical lines. I thought fan noise will be a problem, but I can't hear it. Would be a nice monitor without the artefacts, but I'll send it back.
