  • My X35 had 3 dead pixels when i first received it and immediately i requested my local ACER to change it for me. For your case, it happened after 5 months which i think is abit hard to pass off under for ACER.
  • i am not sure if you are sending back to the vendor. For my country, we request for servicing via ACER and they will send someone over to collect the monitor and deliver it back once its repaired(since the warranty is onsite). Yes , apparently they can change the mb at the back of the screen.
  • I did mentioned to you when i saw your monitor symptoms similar to what i was having.(because its totally random so its hard to pinpoint but if the OSD hanged and cannot be fixed until hard restart(removing power and back) then it could be the motherboard having issue - according to the engineer from ACER.) I had my…
  • Good for u . Hope the issue doesnt comes back. For mine , it random and happened twice so far. I only have one monitor so i contacted ACER for their action.
  • I would suggest u ask your local ACER support to take a look at your unit. I believed the warranty for this monitor should be onsite for your country?
  • Seems this is a new common issue. I just had this issue happened to my X35 2days ago. The unit is currently collected by ACER for testing but the engineer told me it is likely be a motherboard/mainboard issue. What happened to mine was i was watching youtube and suddenly the screen went black but my youtube was still…
  • Updates took me around 45 min(from screen) with a few blinking and calibrating during the process. Overall smooth software and monitor rebooted itself at the end of the installation. Upon reboot, monitor setting went back to default(65 brightness). Thumbs up for ACER
  • Thanks Manny for the update. This is the best news update so far)
  • Do you mean opening this link on a X35? I tried and on full screen i do not see any flickering on mine. I do see flickering on games as i had explained in the earlier threads of this post.
  • Anyone tried the new nvidia driver release today?
  • https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/310225/official-43602-game-ready-whql-display-driver-feed/ There u go, check the post by P4yn3( first few post) .
  • We really need some one from Nvidia or ACER to let us know what the true issue lies with? Hardware natural of VA panel(non fixable), Hardware(fixable with Firmware from ACER) or Software(fixable with future driver). Anyone? I went to Nvidia forum and the driver developer aren't commenting on this issue and one Nvidia…
  • i had my default brightness at 40. When i switch to window HDR - no issue. However when i disable HDR, the screen always seem to become very bright (not the default 40 kind of brightness) i have to force refresh of frequency(144> other frequency>144) via the nvidia panel to get back the original 40. Restarting PC also get…
  • The issue with owning a niche expensive monitor is that the user pool is small and usually after selling, i dont think nvidia or acer would even bother to look into this issue for us.... . Problem get ping pong here and there and eventually after 1-2 years another better monitor comes out and ppl slowly forget about this…
  • Just to add, Setting the frequency to 60hz although helps with the flicker but the image quality or sharpness while moving becomes a bit smear or blur. Setting back to >100hz brings back the sharpness but the flickering comes back.. So its either one or the other.
  • The new driver did not help. I have tested in retail WOW on the flickering effect. I noticed that to get a stable solution a) Set OD to off - However when moving ingame the sharpness of the ingame(signboard etc) will be affected b) Set the monitor frequency or Game FPS to 60hz. The flicker stops totally. But then i wonder…
  • My X35 also have this issue when playing certain game. I was on wow classic stress test when i noticed this flicker happened on undead starting zone trisfal. Pressing move on the char seem to light up the screen and stopping dim the screen back to normal. The move and stop effect resulting in flicking of the screen ...…
