  • yeah i get the options from F12 and i can also set the bios to boot from dvd, same thing happens as with any of the startup repair or advanced options, the loading bar runs across the bottom then immediatley goes to black screen, i have searched the net and this forums and while i see lots of black screen problems i dont…
  • Jordan while i appreciate your thoughts, ive already said 3x now i cannot get the laptop to boot from cd/dvd therefor i cannot install windows, i cannot get a command prompt as advanced startup options will not complete running safe mode
  • i think you misunderstand the problems and my descriptions Jordan, it failed to give the option to boot from cd/dvd, the laptop regardless of new or old hdd will not load will not go past starting windows logo screen or if i try repair fails to load and advanced options fails to run all of them no safe mode no command…
  • i have a few laptops and parts around the house, i used another hdd from another machine like the RAM to test, the laptop does not boot no matter which hdd or ram i use existing or replacement, the original hdd has win 7 installed other hdd is ready to install fresh format done in other machine changed over to the 5553g…
  • i can remove the hdd and already have done and tried another hdd it gets same results, i do need to recover from the hdd but i will just run it from a caddy, i need help diagnosing the problem booting not saving data, when i tried new hdd it loads bios recognises both old and new hdd but still fails to load/run…
  • the laptop has 6gb ram in 3x 2 gb sticks, i removed all of them and used a single 2gb stick from another machine and tested the 6gb from the acer 5553g, all ram is working but no change in the laptop, RAM isnt the issue
  • i have 7 usb Root Hubs uninstalled all of them rebooted and added my webcam and mx518 and still the problem continues, any other suggestions?
