I have this problem too, but I've discovered that if I close the lid after pressing the power button, it will boot up ok. I just wait maybe 5 seconds before reopening the lid. Of course, that's just a workaround, I still seek a solution. Since yours is setup with a dual boot option, you might try this after making the OS…
