I think replacing my keyboard may be more expensive than just buying a wireless external keyboard (which I have done now). This Logitech keyboard was only $39.95 and it also has a wireless mouse with it. It is working so much better. The "U" key and all the others work great. I even like the feel of this keyboard so much…

Thanks for your idea. I already checked with Acer and basically my model is so old (and out of the warrantee period) that they do not have customer support for it. There is support / help but it costs $49 for help. I'm not going to do that.
