  • Yes, but it's the User Account Control that is blocking it not Bitdefender. I think it's time to accept this machine is too old and buy another laptop. Thanks for all your help.
  • I just tried turning off the User Account Control Notifications and it still notified me it was blocking the App !
  • Thanks for your help; I have found the Compatibility Tab and can now change it to Windows 7 mode but it still blocks me from running it claiming "User Account Control - This App has been blocked for your protection - An administrator has blocked you from running this App" This even happens if I use 'Run as administrator'.…
  • I ran the compatibility troubleshooter and selected the setup.exe for the bluetooth driver. It then only gave me the option of Windows Vista. This appeared to work but when I tried to run the setup.exe but user account control blocked it.
  • Managed to run the Windows Compatibility Troubleshooter. It only gave me the option of Vista for the Bluetooth Setup.exe. Tried that and now it tells me " User Account Control - This App has been blocked for your protection" It won't give me any option to permit it to run.   • Never got the option to choose any mode. Windows simply told me Is there something I need to do to get the Win 7 compatibility mode? Thanks. Dave.
