  • Okay so I tested the jumper pin fix and it didn't work. So the only solution is to make a program that writes to a file(remember it should be writing something to the file and not reading from the file). This will keep the spindle ON but it will drain your battery like crazy.
  • I have the same issue with my Acer One 10 S1002 (2 gb ram and 32 gb rom varient) . The issue is not a software issue but infact a hardware issue. The hdd is severly under powered and it draws excess current when the spindle starts to rotate(it only happens during it's first spin as any electrical motor draws excess current…
