  • The dual M.2 drives in the G9-792 are just SATA drives, not NVME, so they will indeed be readable with this adapter, or likely many of the other ones online. That said, I like that M.2 host card you found.. it'd be great for a desktop system which had only 1 (or no) M.2 drives. Or for copying/backing up extra M.2 drives. Thanks!

  • egydiocoelho, thanks for the ideas! I followed your advice about waiting 5 minutes (unplugged) after the battery reset. In fact I waited one hour. Unfortunately the symptoms are unchanged. I don't have any (extra) RAM installed, so the upper, accessable, RAM slots are empty. Would bad RAM cause these power-on symtoms?…
