  • Multiplier is unchecked. I believe on this generation of CPUs, multiplier doesn’t work. Leave it unchecked. Sheepshift is a tricky. You have to find your ballance. On 255 (which is maximum) your cores will tend to stay as lower as possible. But when you need mor performance (gaming) it takes time to increase the frequency,…
  • That worked for me. In the installer folder of the Predator Sense, there is subfolder "PredatorSenseV3.1". ( At least for my version of the program ) After the instalation of the program, you have to open the file e917f4dfb84a45c2be385f83479d3c9a.appxbundle from that subfolder (maybe different file name for you system, but…

  • No its not normal to crash at all, but it makes more sense if it crashes on power, rather that battery. Because on power, the power delivered to the CPU and GPU is much more than on battery. So if the undervolting is too much it might be a problem. If you have any crashed, my suggestion is to reduce the undervolt value a…
  • Its would be normal if it crashes on power and not on battery. But in your case I don't know what might be the reason. What are your settings on battery and plugged in? In throttlestop, windows power options.. You can find the answer there.
  • The temperatures may be acceptable but lower is better. Read this threat, it’s for the same model as yours and you can reduce the temperatures significantly. Good luck https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/546499/undervolting-i7-8750h/p1
  • Check in windows power options the processor maximum state. It should be 100%. Also check the Nvidia settings for whisper mode. If it is enabled the settings may restrict maximum FPS. Are you using any other software like xtu, Throttlestop, MSI afterburner, park control etc...?
  • 160, 170 are awsome results. It looks like you won from the silicon lottery. It also depends what fo you use your notebook for. Mine is stable at -135 mV on everything. At higher values it crashed under heavy demanding games. Otherwise it works at even lower voltages.
  • Dont reduce it to 99%. If you do that you will disable your turbo. You don't want to do that.
  • Well since its a notebook, not a PC tempreatures in the high 70's are descent I think. Further from that is only the Cooling fans and undervolting the GPU. About the repaste...I also consieder doing it myself after the warranty. Park Control did not do the job for me, even increased the temperatures.. I don't know why,…
  • You can reduce the turbo ratio litmis to 34 on all 6 cores. Thats what I did. For playing games you shouls not nitice any performace impact or it will be very low. It will not only reduce the temperatures but will make the temperature graph flatter, with less spikes. On low and medium demanding games I even disbale the…
  • Hi @OrganizedChaos ! I don't think drop in the FPS for such a long period of 1 minute, every hour or two is because of the undervolting. If the problem is throttling due to overheating or something from the undervolt, the change in performace would be for a second or two. And doing the same with the previous notebook seems…
  • what error? send screenshot
  • Ok. The differences from my settings: 1.Speed Shift. You don't need Speed Shift 0. That increases temperatures. I use mine on 128 and I think I is a sweet spot for me. You can try different settings. Minimum is 0, maximum 255. 2.I don't know what it means but my IccMax for CPU core is 128.00A ; for CPU cache 11.0A. 3.…
  • If you did not undervolt your CPU and GPU this temperatures are normal, even I would say good. I have Helios 300 (60Hz panel) with 8750-H and 1060 6GB and before the undervolt my CPU was above 80 almost all the time on havy gaming and spikes to 99 degrees. After undervolting temperatures dropped to about 80 degrees max.…
  • I am with the same notebook and it worked for me. What is your temperature when the CPU is idle? Mine is steady 41 degrees. Maximum 45 on low usage like browsing and watching movies. Post screenshots of your throttlestop and MSI Afterburner (if you undervolted your GPU) settings. It might help to find the issue.
  • Undervolt via Throttlestop (CPU cache, CPU core and Igpu), disable turbo or even reduce further the maximum frequency of the CPU. For browsing in internet and watching movies you will not notice the difference, but you can double the battery life. If you want to play games on battery, you cannot do anything to maximize…
  • Are you sure that the undervolting is applied? It looks like the you set the value, but the CPU doesn't take it. Use another software (for example HWiNFO64 or CPUID HWMonitor) to confirm that the CPU is undervolted. I have the same CPU and before the undervolt the temperatures was the same, but after dropped with almost 20…
