  • I did nothing, to be honest. I just connected the screen via HDMI to my laptop and changed in properties from 60Hz to 120Hz. All drivers up to date. Maybe the port you're using on your screen doesn't support 120Hz? Try a different port? What monitor do you have?
  • I have the same laptop version but with i7 and I get maximum 120Hz at 1080p on my BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz. Even if you don't get 144Hz, believe me, having 120Hz over 60Hz is way better and if in future you plan to get a PC or change the laptop, you have a 144Hz screen that you can use.
