  • Hi Billsey, Thanks for your comment. I sent the machine back for a refund, so we'll never know. I bought another identical machine, hopefully do better with this one, working reasonably well so far.

I called Acer tech support this morning, he suggested a couple of troubleshooting routines, which I'd already tried and they didn't work this time either, then suggested I did a factory reset, and…
