  • Considering the latest bios on that is 6 months before 14th gen came out I'd guess that it doesn't have the required bios magic to be compatible. Being an OEM board prob be best to call ACER and ask. But yes, the socket should be compatible and stuff that comes with 12th gen would highly likely need bios update for 14th.…
  • No. Does it whether IGPU is disabled or not. As of now, restarting computer will cause issue. Shutting down computer with quick boot enabled, after fixing it with unplug and plug in, will keep it fixed until computer restarts for whatever reason (Windows update for example). Difference between IGPU and GPU is brightness…
  • Sounds stupid but try blowing into the charging port and barrel connector like a Nintendo cartridge. Can try downloading hardware monitor too to see if one of the cores in the cpu is too hot instead of just going off package temp, might be informative too if power draw on CPU or GPU drops while issue is occurring. If temps…
  • If on windows 11 in the search bar on the desk top look for device manager. Click on it. Click display adapters. Click on on what shows up. Click on driver and it will be there next to driver version.
  • Gpu is graphical processing unit. It's what does the calculations for the images on the screen and some other kinds of work loads. Windows update will keep it somewhat up to date. If you want the latest drivers then google either AMD, Intel, or Nvidia GPU driver and go from there.
  • @AnhEZ28 Thank you. I had remembered right after i posted lol Interestingly with fast boot off then issue remains even when shutting laptop down. With fast boot on issue is there on restart but not when shutting down. I guess something going on at the kernal level that unplugging and plugging back in resolves, but I guess…
  • Ya, that crossed my mind it being new. Could be a Nvidia issue too with the brightness slider not doing anything while only using the GPU because i noticed while in that mode the monitor driver is different and the IGPU driver just disappears altogether until Optimus or auto is on. Did just find something interesting.…
  • @AnhEz28 One of the first things I did. It's on 1.08. I appreciate the replies but unless someone has some command prompt magic (that's more than a /scannow) or registry edit then it's been tried and/or done.
  • It's been plugged in the whole time. Hasn't left 100%. Am using the "Liteon" 330w adapter that came in the box.
