  • Is this meant to help ME? I have no Windows installed, never used Windows 8 and none of these key combinations work. The setup application of Debian automatically installed GRUB Bootloader, and one of these installations definitely changed my boot order - everyone says OS won't alter BIOS, but id DID happen.

  • I have tried both spamming and holding F2 (which was the standard key), ESC and DEL. Nothing. Hm, battery may be soldered in, I heard that as well, so I won't open my laptop. However, there must be a solution for my problem.
  • I already thought about this, but can the CMOS battery be removed? I've heard of some laptops that had the battery in such a bad position where you can't remove it.   • Hey, thanks for your reply, but I don´t think it would work, as I can´t enter BIOS to select to boot from DVD ... Is there any way to boot from such a DVD without access to BIOS?
