  • Yet to answer, but, yes, reckon the Intel HD5500 isn't happy about all of this ... maybe an additional driver may be available?
  • It's tha same VS on both my laptop and PC. The PC runs my opengl code okay but it's the laptop that doesn't. Would this 'community version' issue cause this?
  • It's Visual Studio community, so assume it's the full one. And opengl code was probably compiled using dynamic ... don't know how to check ... :-(
  • The opengl code should produce some form of graphic response / display. With regards to purchasing another laptop ... my intent was that I'd rather solve this problem than buy another laptop .... I never intimated or intended that Khronos was a retailer/laptop seller ...
  • 1. Windows 10 Home came installed on the laptop ... it isn't an 'upgrade' from a previous install. 2. The Desktop PC that runs the opengl code / visual studio is home built with an intel i7 cpu / Invidia 1050ti graphics card 3. Code, I assume, compiles okay but doesn't display anything ... I wonder if the laptop's…
  • 'Not liking' means it compiles but whilst it is running it says 'the program is unlinked' when it is clearly 'linked in code' and same program runs ok on a PC.
  • 1) In Control Panel, Intel Graphics is set to 'Max. Performance' 2) Laptop is on mains supply when this is attempted.
  • Thanks for replying, laptop has Win10 Home installed ... 64 bit ... version 1903. The Visual Studio is its latest version, just updated it today.
