  • @francema @jbone Did you try to reinstall the Intel Platform Driver ? (http://community.acer.com/t5/Windows-Tablets/Acer-Aspire-Switch-10-FREEZE-problem/m-p/275628/highlight/true#M11523) For me, it solved the problem.
  • I could solve the problem for now by reinstalling the intel driver package. I forgot the exact path, but it was in the folder "C:\OEM" (OEM is a hidden folder - directly paste in the path in explorer adress line and hit enter). There is a folder with DRV (or something like that - it stands for "driver"). In that folder,…
  • In addition: I found out now, that (my) windows only seems to freeze. I booted without attached USB receiver, nothing work (no keyboard, no mouse, no volume and power button), but I saw the lockscreen - the clock work. So only every hardware input driver doesn't work. What is about you, look at your screen - work the clock…
  • I could recreate the issue, but only in Windows. Because of the horrible recovery partition and the acer Software products which I don't usw, I decided to install Windows 8.1 clean with an setup USB. Because of missing drivers the tablet freeze at one moment: I boot the device with an attached USB reciever for my wireless…
  • Okay doccock.
  • What OS do you want boot on the Switch 10? I think, that there is the same BIOS limitation like on another Iconia Tablet (I forget which one it is), so the Switch 10 only boots Windows 8 OS versions. I wanted to boot from USB Android on Intel, on my PC with UEFI it worked, not on Switch 10. Then I've tried Windows 7, same…
  • Oh je Okay danke. Aber wenn "not popping up" hat er vielleicht die F12 Bootmenü-Option nicht aktiviert, dann bringt F12 drücken auch nichts.
  • I'm from Germany and have the same issue. But I have to notice: On my first Acer Switch 10, I had installed a clean Windows 8.1 via bootable USB-Setup. (I've used the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool to mount an Install-ISO on the USB-Stick). It worked at the first time via activating F12 Boot Menu in Bios and boot from this…
  • In addition: If you want to edit more Options in the Bios Settings, like to disable the Secure Boot, you have to set a "Super Visor Password" in the "Security" Tab. After creating this key (for example 1234), all option will be editable. NOTICE: Activating the Supervisor Key means, that everytime you want to enter the…
  • I'm from Germany, sorry If I not unserstand your problem. You want to get into UEFI BIOS Settings? While booting up the Switch 10 you have 2 possibilities: BIOS Menu and Boot Manager. At first, you have to really Power Off the Tablet. To do that, there are more than one possibility, one is: Because Windows 8 is very…
  • I'm from Germany and had the same issue. The Keyboard doesn't react, in BIOS too. It was not a driver problem of Windows 8.1. So I decided to contact Acer to change the product. I've used the new Tablet for a couple of weeks and it works perfect. In summary, not every keyboard problem is an software error.
