Thanks, I looked up how to disassemble it and replaced the paste with Thermalright TFX. Now the laptop CPU doesn't ever exceed 71C and GPU no more than 77C. If the CPU is working alone; it typically doesn't exceed 67C.

The card overheats.... Packets heat up the card, even if its not alot of throughput. I can easily crash the card just downloading some files at 200mbit, without the laptop getting hot in the slightest.

I have 32GB in my laptop with the same model. I left the stock 256GB SSD in there as it is made by Hitachi (atleast on my model). I put a 1TB SSD in the 2.5" drive slot and use that for my games / storage.

You can install programs to the hard drive. They will just load slower than ones on your SSD. This typically isn't too big a deal for games as they only need to read from the drive to start up or change levels.

Its likely just a Windows localized problem. After you setup wifi and switch to english it would be fine as it can get all the needed English-language files from the internet.

It looks like it supports both NVMe and SATA drives. So you could look at like A-Data SU800, Crucial MX500, Samsung 860 Evo for SATA or M.2 or HP EX920/EX950 or A-Data SX8000 or Mushkin Pilot-e for NVMe.

What nation are you in? In the USA that sticker is illegal anyway so you can just rip it off and upgrade your memory. You shouldn't pair an 8GB stick with a 4GB stick as the ram will run in single channel, which will halve the memory performance. Either get another 4GB stick or 2x 8GB sticks.

I'm wondering if you might be able to replace this wifi adapter with another one. I personally use a USB wireless one as I have been fed up with the use of this internal card that just drops network all the time. But if I could purchase another card on ebay and replace it; that would be ideal.

This is just the nature of any U series CPU unfortunately. The base clock is lower and therefore once boost runs out it sits at base clock.
