  • It has to do with using a mouse outside "desktop" mode. The other modes, tent, presentation, and tablet are intended to be used with the touchscreen. It doesn't make sense to me; I should be able to use a mouse whenever I want.
  • Just put in a USB flash drive. The screen rotates so the problem seems to be specific to the USB dongle/mouse that I have. I also plugged in an external HDD through the USB port and the screen rotates. I don't have another USB mouse to try. Maybe the issue is with this particular brand (Microsoft) USB mouse?   • I've installed a lot of RAM over the years and have had that happen to me a few times. Usually, I've fixed it by removing the RAM and re-installing. Sometimes the connection isn't perfect and re-installing will help.
