I have a similar issue with my Acer monitor. Once in a while for no apparent reasons the monitor will not recognize my computer. I hear the computer initialize but the screen remains black. I unplug everything and plug it back and usually it will fix the problem and work for weeks and the next day, boom, it won't work…
