  • Hi dacker, For Acer Portal, you can use it to register Acer ID and your Acer device(s). Therefore, Acer Portal is only available for Windows and Android, not on iOS. As you mentioned, the only functionality that it’s based on Acer Portal is abBox. If you would like to use abBox, you need to install Acer Portal first.
  • Hi Dacker: Yes. In previous version, it really needs to Acer Portal so that you can sign in with your Acer ID. However, in the new version of Acer BYOC Apps, Acer Portal is not necessary for sign in.

  • Hi denibo, I also have 2 PCs which one has plugged in an external hard drive, after I installed the abFiles extension, both my phone and PC can access to my external hard drive. Do you find an abFiles icon in Windows Files Explorer? If not, I suggest you change to another network or restart your PC to have a try.
