  • @billsey I contacted Acer UK they don't know either. I was asking as I saw it on the USA Acer website, and odering it to my uncle's address in the USA and get it delivered to me from there by some courier company to me in the UK.
  • Thanks for replying to my post. I have contacted Acer, but got no response. At this rate i might buy the Aorus FI32U, at least i know when i can buy that in the UK, it is £300 cheaper than the acer xb323qk, has the same specs, apart from the Aorus has usb type c.
  • Hi Laurent_14 Thanks for looking, not really the info I am looking for I know wgat connectors it has I just need to know how many amps the fast charge usb port puts out on the monitor. And do I need to connect the monitor to my pc in any special way in order to get higher than 600-650mA.
  • Gasguirre Make sure your PC is outputting sound, use process of elimination. plug headphones or speakers directly to your motherboard or sound card, and see if you get sound. If not then time to check your sound drivers.
  • I am not sure if the HDMI is 1.4a or 1.4b on this monitor. When I connect my Xbox up to it I only get 1080p or go down to 720p. The display port adaptor is about £25 from scan.co.uk. As said it will turn the Display port into HDMI 2.0. So if I was to buy a splitter or some kind of switch. I could have my PC and my Xbox…
  • I have already tried, that is how I discovered my Xbox is not putting out 4K. Because the Acer XB281HK monitor only has hdmi 1.4. But how ever there is an adaptor that converts the display port into HDMI 2.0. But I will need some sort of splitter as my PC is plugged into the Display port.
  • So it looks like I will need to wait till next year to get the type of monitor suitable for Xbox X. Must support 4K, HDMI 2.0 have AMD free sync and HDR10. I don't understand why if Tv's already have these features why are monitors lagging behind.
  • Hi mate I have the exact same issue. I went to connect my xbox X on to this monitor XB281HK thinking I will get 4K gaming, but no. Due to the fact this monitor has HDMI 1.4 and the XBOX X is HDMI 2.0. Unless there is a firmware upgrade available to change the HDMI from 1.4 to 2.0 on this monitor you'll either have to live…
  • Hi mate let me know if you have any luck. I have recently connected my Xbox one to my monitor, My LG plasma 1080p television has better picture quality than this crappy Acer monitor. I have contacted acer many times, they want me to send it in so they can check it. But i don't think it will make a difference. Please let me…
  • Hi mate unfortunatly no. I think it is down to the monitor. If you play games on it, it is fine. but for video's it is very poor. definatly not worth £499 I paid for it.
  • Hi thank you for your reply. I do have it set to 3840x2160 connected via display port to a Nvidia geforce 660 Graphics card. I mainly notice the color banding on video. On games it is fine. I have tried to watch some 4k test videos on youtube where I notice the color banding, There is some color banding 4k pictures but you…
