  • Don't know if you still have the laptop, but I came to these forums looking for an answer on this very issue and never found one. What I ended up doing, was uninstalling all of the factory installed Acer programs. Haven't had an issue with it freezing since. If you still own the laptop, give that a try.
  • I had the exact same problem. No viruses, no hardware issues and a factory reset only temporarily fixed the problem. What I did was removed all of the Acer bloatware that comes with the factory install on Windows. I haven't had a problem since.
  • I was having similar problems and searched these forums to no avail. I ended up playing around and fixed the problem.
