Feklar Networker

  • Same here. Update was easy and took ~45 minutes. Same error message regarding normalized settings but the update worked and the flickering is gone. I just reset the monitor to factory specs before the update. After the update I simply recalibrated the monitor using the i1 Display Pro and DisplayCal and all good. Thanks…
  • I'm going to out on a limb here and predict it will not happen before 2020. How long is anyone's guess but I would be pleasantly surprised if it actually happened before 2H 2020.
  • Sounds good Manny. Great that it will be a download as well since sending the monitor back is not something any of us want to do I'm sure.
  • So this is Nvidia's fault? Does that mean that Acer is blaming them and it's their responsibility to remedy? It's a Gsync module issue then? Really?
  • I'm with you there, however the chances are slim and none and slim just left town.
  • Tech support phone agents for Acer are not technicians and therefore have no clue what we are even referring to. I talked to them twice and they said the same thing. Send it in for testing. When I questioned what would be repaired and why they didn't know about it, they hung up the phone on me. Twice. Absolutely rude and…
  • +1. I can't believe Asus found the issue and will remedy it while Acer says nothing. Times like this make me wish I had dismissed my Acer monitor loyalty and went with Asus for this model. How frustrating.
  • I just tried the snowy village image in a browser taking about 70% of the screen. Moving the browser window around makes everything outside of the window flicker like crazy. Turned overdrive off and boom, no more flicker. Good times. Not happy. I doubt anything will ever be done to fix it but the overdrive seems to be the…

  • I think we were just pwnd.
  • It has not been discontinued. In fact Newegg got a shipment and they are in stock there right now.
  • Haven't tried an HDR game yet since I think I only own one but haven't had time to try it yet. Right now I'm using 144hz, Gsync and overdrive on normal. I keep the variable backlight on all the time even when web surfing. On the desktop I only notice blooming is when on a gray webpage or background. White, black or any…
  • I was originally quoting the user who bashed the product even though he doesn't own one since he said this was a " a VA panel issue" when it isn't. On a side note, I experienced this flickering only once playing HL2 but not since. I played all 3 Bioshock games completely and never saw the flickering once. Also have not…
  • None of the videos have either stated or proven that this is a VA panel issue. I've had a few VA panel monitors with and without sync and none had this flickering issue.
  • Which review did you see that states this flicker is "va panel issue"? None that I have seen. Please provide us, the actual owners of this monitor, the reviews you have seen that proves this. If not, than it is simply an unqualified opinion.
  • I also have a flickering issue. Am I to understand that Acer would like defective monitors that cost nearly $3k to be repackaged and sent in for inspection at our expense? Even under warranty? Tech support has no idea how to repair the issue. Repair department also has no idea what to fix. Virtually all of these units have…
  • Bad ghosting on extreme od? Do you mean overshoot?
  • This is just misinformation. I have had other VA panels and random flickering is not a normal fault of all va panels. Stop spreading false information. My unit flickers randomly as well in certain scenes. I saw random flickering last night playing Half Life 2 Update and that's not even a demanding game at all. Turning…
  • Yes it does but it is very quiet. I can only hear mine if I put my ear very close to the back of the monitor. One thing that is unusual though is that the fan runs continuously even if the monitor is turned off. It only stops when the monitor is unplugged from the power source. It is definitely not annoying for me and can…
