Thanks for the reply and information. However, whenever I visit that particular part of the Acer web site, I'm only able to select Windows 7. With Windows 7, there seemed to be no problem with my existing arrangement. However, it's been a different story with Windows 8. Apparently I need much more up-to-date drivers.
