  • Thank you both for your help! Balatekie: I didn't realize the warranty didn't cover physical damage, so I'm very glad nothing broke. Christy1: I did as you suggested and checked the Acer Care Center app and everything looks good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I think I may have gotten lucky :) 
  • Also, I just followed this Windows 10 article and used the System File Checker to scan for corrupt files; thankfully, it returned the first possible result "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
