Keyboard does not work after you log in to Windows - Acer Community
<main> <article class="userContent"> <h3 data-id="why-is-my-keyboard-not-working-after-i-log-in-to-windows">Why is my keyboard not working after I log in to Windows?<br><br></h3> <p>You may have the filter keys feature enabled if you can type your Windows password but your keyboard will not work after you log in to Windows. You can test this by holding down a key on the keyboard for five seconds and then releasing it. If the character you pressed is typed, you probably have filter keys enabled. You can disable filter keys by holding the <strong>Shift</strong> key down on your keyboard for 8 seconds. You can also use the following steps to search for the term filter keys to disable this setting.</p> <div><strong>Windows 10:</strong> <ol><li>Click Start <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029997/uploads/migrated/acer_final/36995/icon_windows_key.png" alt="Image: icon_Windows_key.png" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img>, select <b>Windows System</b> and choose <b>Control Panel</b>.</li> <li>Double-click <b>Ease of Access</b>.</li> <li>Select <strong>Change how your keyboard works</strong>.</li> <li>Uncheck the box <strong>Turn on filter keys</strong> to disable the filter key setting.</li> <li>Click <strong>Apply</strong> and <strong>OK</strong> to save the changes.</li> </ol></div><br><br><div><strong>Windows 8:</strong> <ol><li>Press and hold the <strong><b>Windows (<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029997/uploads/migrated/acer_final/36995/icon_windows8_key.png" alt="Image: icon_Windows8_key.png" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img>) key</b></strong> on your keyboard for 5 seconds to go to the Windows Start screen.</li> <li>Press and hold the <strong>F</strong> key for 5 seconds.
