Why are the reflections in my OLED screen all wavey and curvy?
When the screen of your notebook is turned off and the (sun)light hits your screen just right, you will see reflections in the screen. On some screens, the reflections might be wavey or curvy. See the image below for reference. This effect is referred to as the "fun house mirror effect", as the curved reflections resemble the reflections you see in the mirrors of a fun house.
The fun house mirror effect can only be seen on OLED panels. It is caused by the design structure of OLED displays, which consists of double glass layers and a vacuum space in between. Acer would like to stress that this effect is not due to a panel production defect, and it cannot be corrected.
