Windows 11 allows you to manage the video playback settings that many apps use. You can adjust the video playback settings to enhance video quality, save network bandwidth, and conserve battery life. Use the instructions below the change your video playback settings.
How to change your video playback quality settings
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings
- Click on Apps and then click on Video playback.
- Toggle the Process video automatically to enhance it setting On or Off.
- Toggle the Save network bandwidth by playing video at a lower resolution setting On or Off.
How to play videos at lower resolution to conserve battery power
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙
- Click on Apps and then click on Video playback.
- In the Battery Options section, select Optimize for battery life.
- Close the Settings window to save your changes.
