Windows 11 allows you to adjust the settings and customize the touchscreen keyboard for a more personalized experience. Use the instructions below to learn how how to set up and customize your Windows 11 touch keyboard.
Set up Windows 11 touchscreen keyboard shortcut
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
- Select Personalization and then Taskbar.
- Expand the Taskbar drop-down menu and set the Touch Keyboard toggle menu to On. The touch keyboard is now visible on the right of the Windows Taskbar and can now be activated by clicking on the icon.
Access Touch keyboard settings via Settings
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
- Click on Personalization.
- Scroll down and select Touch Keyboard.
- Change the Keyboard size by adjusting the corresponding slider.
- Select your preferred Keyboard Theme by setting the toggle switch next to your preferred theme to On.
- Scroll down and toggle the Key Background to On or Off depending on your preference.
- Select your Key Text Size using the drop down menu.
- Click on the Open Keyboard button to view your changes.
For more options, you can select Custom Theme and then click on the Edit button.
- Under the Text tab, you can change the Key Text Color and Suggestion Text Color.
- Under the Keys tab, you can change the Key Background Color and Text Transparency.
- Under the Window tab, you can select the Background Color.
View your custom theme by selecting View your changes. Click on Save to save your theme.
