How to Change the Keyboard Language in Windows 11

Windows 11 allows you to easily change your keyboard language if you want to type in a different language. You will need to download a language pack, then you can quickly and easily change between languages while you are working. Use the instructions below to adjust your keyboard language settings in Windows 11.

How to install a keyboard language

Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
From the Time and language menu, select Language and region.
Click on Add Language and click on Next.
Select Install to install your preferred keyboard layout.

How to change the keyboard language

Click on the abbreviation of the current language next to date and time in the taskbar. This might be ENG for American English.
Left click on the language you want to set as the new keyboard language.

Note: You can use the key combination Windows ⊞ + Space to switch through available keyboard languages.
