How to Manage Offline Maps in Windows 11

Windows 11 allows you to download maps of countries and regions across the world that you can use offline when you travel. This is a convenient way to have accessible location information when you do not have an internet connection. Use the instructions below to download and manage your offline maps.

How to download offline maps

Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
Click on Apps.
Select Offline maps.
Click on Download maps.
Select your preferred continent and click on Download for your desired country or region.

How to update offline maps

Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
Click on Apps and select Offline maps.
Set the Map updates toggle button to On.
Check Update automatically when plugged in and on Wi-Fi.
You can also click on Check now to download updates manually.

How to uninstall offline maps

Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
Click on Apps and select Offline maps,
Click on the V dropdown to the right of the Download Maps button.
Click on Delete next to the map you want to remove.
