Windows Narrator is a built-in text-to-speech function featured in the Windows 11 operating system. It converts written text into spoken text, helping users with visual impairments to change settings, open programs, and select items from menus as they navigate around the screen. How to turn on Windows Narrator
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
- Click Accessibility, then locate Vision and click on the Narrator tab.
- Click the Narrator toggle button to turn on or turn off Windows Narrator.
How to change the Windows Narrator voice in Windows 11
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings ⚙.
- Click Accessibility, then locate Vision and click on the Narrator tab.
- Click Voice and choose your preferred option from the dropdown menu.
- If you wish to use a different voice, click Speech. Alternatively, you can also add a different voice by locating the Add voices tab. Clicking Add voices will offer multiple language packages.
