These features can come in handy if you have trouble controlling your computer or find typing to be difficult or slow. </p><p>Over time, Windows can improve voice recognition by learning your individual accent and word choices to become more accurate over time. You can use the instructions below to get started using Windows speech recognition on your computer.</p><h2 data-id="how-to-enable-windows-speech-recognition"><strong>How to Enable Windows Speech Recognition</strong></h2><h3 data-id="method-1%3A"><strong>Method 1:</strong></h3><ol><li>Click on <strong>Start ⊞</strong> and select <strong>Settings ⚙</strong>, or use <strong>Windows + I</strong> to quickly open <strong>Settings</strong>.</li><li>Click on <strong>Accessibility</strong> and select <strong>Speech</strong> from the <strong>Interaction</strong> section.</li><li>Turn on <strong>Windows Speech Recognition </strong>by clicking on the <strong>toggle switch.</strong></li><li>Click on <strong>Next</strong> to open the <strong>Set up Speech Recognition </strong>wizard. Follow the instructions to select the microphone you want to use and train the program to recognize your speech.</li><li>The <strong>Speech Recognition Toolbar </strong>will appear at the top of your screen.
