How can I configure Windows to save files to the hard drive instead of the SSD?
Windows 11 is configured by default to save files to the drive that the operating system is installed on. This can cause your drive to fill up with data and reduce the free space on that drive. Use the steps below to change the default folder locations in Windows 11.
- Click on Start ⊞ and select Settings⚙.
- Select Storage.
- Select Advanced storage settings, then select Where new content is saved.
- Select the location where you want each type of content to save.
