Windows 11: How to Close Applications

How do I close or exit Apps in Windows 11?

Windows will leave an app running in the background after you start it. If you do not use the app for a while, Windows will close it. You can manually close an app using the method below.

Click on the X in the top right corner of the App.
Repeat for all Apps you want to close.
