What is Intel Optane™ Memory
Intel® Optane™ memory is a revolutionary technology that helps improve system responsiveness to provide a faster and smoother computing experience. Optane memory learns your most frequently used documents, images, videos, and applications to allow your computer to access them all more quickly. Optane memory does not loose its data when the system is powered off, so it will remember what it has learned and your system will start up faster when you power it on.
How to use Intel Optane™ memory
Acer systems that use Intel Optane memory are already configured and optimized from the factory so you do not need to do anything for setup. We recommend not making any changes to the factory configuration of the Optane memory. Making changes may damage the RAID configuration that the memory uses and impact system performance.
How to troubleshoot issues with Intel Optane™ memory
Changes to the Intel IRST software or failure of the Optane memory module or hard drive could cause system issues. If your Intel Optane memory is not working, you should try the steps below to reconfigure the memory.
- Reset the EUFI/BIOS to factory settings.
- Restore your operating system using Acer Recovery Media.
