Microsoft camera application shows a black screen after installing the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (1803)

SYMPTOMS
The Microsoft camera application may only show a black screen after installing the Windows 10 April 2018 update. Other camera applications like Skype should still work properly.

SOLUTION
Acer is working with Microsoft to qualify a new video driver to address this issue. The new video driver will be included as a Windows critical update when it is available. The driver will also be posted on our Acer Drivers and Manuals page when it is available.
