My Chromebook 713 Spin stopped charging and now will not start at all.  Is there any way to reset it so that it will charge or do I need to return it for repair/exchange?

If it's new enough go the repair/exchange route. There are several things that can block charging, from a bad charger, bad cable, bad socket, bad battery, disconnected battery, etc...

I'll try that. I bought it last October.

Let us know how it works out, and especially what they find.

Support thinks there's a fair chance it's a hardware defect. In any event, the battery is completely dead so pressing the power button for 15+ seconds and other quick fixes (refresh button, etc) aren't possible.  Unfortunately the Acer support computer system is acting up so they can't process the return for a couple more days.  I found the agent very helpful so I don't mind waiting.  Thanks for your help, too!

    hello
do you find what it was?
    i have the same problem.
for sure the charger it is not working but even with other chargers slow or not i can not charge it.

i bought it from bestbuy in us and i have some months more warranty but now i stay in Europe.
i always explain to other people that Acer laptops are good enough but now i feel stupid about especially when this laptop is the second Acer with problems and this specific laptop is not used more than few times and still have the plastic outside.
