I bought the monitor "Acer Predator XB253QGX" recently (Acer Predator XB3, model name: XB253QGX, link: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/predator-model/UM.KX3EE.X07 ).
And have some questions:
1) Is it have Flicker-Free technology? (I don't know how to check it by myself, but description on the link is short and doesn't cover most monitor features).
2) Is it have driver to install? Or I don't need it and it's not necessary?
3) This monitor has "G-sync" or "G-sync Compatible"?

Major DOH on my part i forgot to confirm the model number sorry about that :) its why its always a good idea to link ei :D!

For 1) the GP model does not use PWM ( https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/acer-xb253q-gp/ ) , the GX is very simmilar to the GP so I would assume the backlight tech would be the same . there doesnt seem to be any in depth reviews of the GX varient, with most people statig its just the refresh rate which is differnt. Previous years also dont use PWN so i would be supprised if they did on this one

For 3 ) that means its Gsync "compatible", as all Gsync is an implmentaion of VRR :), you can check it out here :

    1) Should be flicker free as reviews suggest it doesnt use PWM  (  https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_xb270hu.htm  )

    2) there is a driver on the support site, but i will be honest not sure what it does!

    3) It has VRR support (varible refresh rate), so it should work with Displayport, but it most likley wont work with HDMI, i think the monitor has HDMI 2.0 which doesnt carry the refresh data with it

Leostat, thanks, but sorry, It's not the answer that I'm looking for.
    Let me explain:
    1) Your link goes to monitor, yes it's Acer Predator, but 5 years old (2015)! When monitor I'm asking about was released in 2020.
    2) I only found something on this page: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/support-product/8173?b=1 , but not sure and doubt that it's the appropriate driver. Well, I don't know what it does too... But may be someone knows?
    3) VRR? Can you explain it simpler? "G-sync" or "G-sync Compatible"? As I know there's only one of the two options in that monitor.
Monitor has Display Port, my video card has Display Port, so I use Display Port, not HDMI (I don't care anything about it, I just know that using Display Port better for some reasons).

I ended up replacing my XB253Q GX with an Alienware AW2721D and can't be happier. I will probably stop buying Acer products from here on out. Here is why I replaced it:

    1. All of these units have image retention issues.

    2. The Gsync in this monitor is absolutely terrible, unusable. The overshoot is so bad on this monitor with Gsync enabled, that it just looks terrible.

    3. The resolution is too low by today's standards, the AW2721D is a 2560x1440 IPS 240Hz monitor that does EVERYTHING better.
