CB5-312T  Chromebook 2 in 1 from 2018.  After  recent update, I no longer have auto rotate.  There isn't even a setting for it in the display settings.  It's has if the version of Chrome I have is not for a tablet.

Try hold CTRL + Shift and the Refresh key on your keyboard. if its still not working then try with a power wash. esc + refresh and power button. tried ctrl and D. then follow the onscreen instructions.

Thanks for response.  Your first suggestion is not a fix - it is a work around because auto-rotate disappeared.  I do that now. Then repeat it 3 more times to rotate back (since it only goes in 1 direction) The second choice is to basically wipe out my hard drive - That isn't a good fix either.  But I might be forced to do it.  Or wait long enough for a newer Chrome update where they correct it. I am hoping someone had a fix - in order for the settings to be missing this, Chrome must not know this is a tablet.

you already asked me that - and I already answered that. I did not.  It isn't a fix, it is a complete 'wipe out your hard drive and restore to factory settings". Not ready to do that. Was hoping for a fix suggestion.  If my car was misfiring, I would want to change the affected spark plug, not throw out the engine and buy a new one.  Sorry, but it doesn't make sense to me.
