I've been having this issue for a few months now and it doesnt effect the functionality but it seems dangerous and quite annoying. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
Here is my serial number based on the detection tool: 64902303
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

@Aptivari
So its to check with a local tech in your area or also Acer might have best option for you to fix it.
So try to check calling Acer that how they can help to fix it. Check the link below to contact Acer

@Aptivari can you show us a picture? Some of the SA12s have had issues with the battery bulging enough to push the screen away from the case. Is that what you are seeing? If so the solution is to replace the bulging battery, and if you are careful it's not too tough to do.

I have the same issue. I read in another thread that this is because of the battery expanding. Seems to me like something ACER should take care of as clearly not something expected to happen. Not normal wear and tear but a design/manufacturing flaw.

@Acer-Manny, I have seen on many threads there is an issue with the battery in the Switch Alpha 12 expanding and that you had been assisting them with their issues.
I would like to know what the options are for repairing it. I have the S5-271-55Q6 and the battery has bulge to the point where it has cracked the screen. I have attached some pictures of the current state of the laptop.
If you could let me know, that'd be great. Thanks.0 -
Hi peteradventurer,
Screen is damaged we can't fix it by our end. So I recommend you to check with your local tech.0 -
@peteradventurer you should replace the battery if it is bulging like that.
