Windows 7 ultimate x 64 not able to complete chk disk function completely

Hi

I have an ACER ASPIRE 6935G laptop running windows 7 Ultimate x64 , of lately my laptop switches off  suddenly and keeps rebooting, till the point where the windows logo comes on the screen, then again it switches off. After couple of switch ons, it gives a message to  do a check disk. once that is activated, it runs for approximately 9% and switches off again, Today it managed to "show" the normal desktop for few minutes and again  it swtiched off abruptly,

I initiated the check disk function again, and this time it managed to delete few files and recovered few "orphaned files", but again it switched off abruptly.

My queries are as follow.. 1) Do i need to install windows7 Ultimate freshly?

                                     2) By any chance is the dedicated graphic card (nvidia 9600m GT, ddr3, 512 mb, CUDA enabled) faulty?

I showed my laptop to a service center personnal, he concluded that the graphic card of the laptop is at fault, that needs replacement or reballing...

Please help me here, i just don't want to discard this otherwise perfect 4 year companion of mine .

Regards

Without being able to see any error logs and determining what is causing the system to shut down, we would be unable to make any recommendations.  It certainly sounds like a hardware issue is occuring.

We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.
