Hi everybody, I have bought predator PH315-53 last week and after 2 days, I faced that the temperature rises to 60 C and the fan speed increases exactly after I turn on the laptop while no apps are opened in the background. (the laptop does nothing at all)
The first time it happened I restored my windows from the restore point and it was ok for 3 days but then the problem showed up again, so I reinstalled my windows 10 and installed all of the drivers.
even after reinstalling the situation remain the same.
Then I noticed that when I unplug the charger the situation turns back to normal, but I didn't have this situation ( the battery is 100% charged )
And I dont know why temperature changes very fast  and it has so much Temperature fluctuation
"GPU overclock is normal, normal temperature in normal use was 40 c, new windows with all drivers installed, no running apps, Temperature fluctuation happens no differnt that batter is fully charged ot not "

Please help me fix this problem, thanks very much.

Do you think 60*C is hot while doing nothing except maybe running a virus scanner in the background? Wait till you start running heavy programming and gaming loads. Then you'll see that anything below about 94*C is fairly normal for new laptops like your's.  So I don't think there's a problem with your new laptop. Enjoy it instead of fretting about the CPU/GPU temperature too much. :)   Jack E/NJ

The thermal paste just plain sucks on this laptop. Mine was the same way, 50-60 deg with random spiking to 70+ while idling and 90-100 while gaming. I changed the paste myself and it gets 35-40 idling and rarely over 65 gaming. This will void the warranty, though, so you can send it in to Acer and have them try to do something about it instead but there's no guarantee.

Do you think that it's thermal paste problem even if the temperature is ideal while charger is unplugged?

As far as I said, there's no running app in the background and I didn't have this situation days ago, and I think the reason for it is because of temperature change value very fast and it makes the fan to work

    Hi,
I think the temperatures are normal for a laptop like this gaming laptop, it draws lot of power hence the spike in temperatures, your CPU can withstand 100°C, so if you still concerned about the temperature use a cooling pad, if the temps go above 90°C you can think of repasting your CPU but as of now I wouldn't worry too much about the temperatures.
