When I was playing an online game suddenly my computer turned off. After that I tried to turn it on but it won't. I tried checking the hardware if there is a problem but it looks normal to me. I even tried removing the RAM to hear beeps but I heard no beeps at all and also when I press the power button the fun runs but the LED doesnt turn on in the power button. Help please

I would start with the power supply and Gfx card.

Do you have a graphics card installed? IF so, try pulling it out and starting up using the onboard graphics.

I would swap the power supply out if the gfx action above did nothing. (As a next step)

I now have the same problem  It is not the ac to dc power converter.  It is putting out 19V.  Also, I hear the fan running but no power light and unit does not come up.  Did you ever find a resolution to this problem?

    Thanks.

I do not have a graphics card installed other than what came with the PC.  When you say change the power supply, do you mean the external power supply on the AC plug?  If so, I have tried a different power supply.  If you are talking about an internal power supply, no I have not changed anything.

The internal power supply is more than likely your problem.

They are pretty cheap and easy to swap. Take note of what is plugged into what (Maybe snap a few pictures) before pulling the old one out. If you google your PCs specs, you will find the wattage that came with the computer at purchase, as long as you match or go higher you will be ok. Fry's electronics website is a good place to start hunting a new one, you can check off the specs you want (type/number of plugs, wattage, size) and get a list that fit.

@kurly28 Did you resolve this issue as my Aspire r3700 has the exact same symptoms, when pressing power the fan starts and nothing else happens, the light on the power button doesn't come on either.
