How do I access the application key on my Swift 3?

Member Posts: 6 New User
My keyboard shows the application key icon on the right control key. I assumed <Fn>+<Right Ctrl> would get me the context menu. This doesn't work. The user manual says there's a dedicated application key even though the keyboard diagram matches my keyboard. How do I get the context menu using that key?

At a guess it could be ctrl+right, alt+right, Shift+right or ctrl+atl+right (similar to the `/¬/¦ key maybe?

Which language is your keyboard for? Can you show us a picture of it with the key highlighted?

On my keyboard, which has the same symbol, I get a context menu if I press Fn-Ctrl.

Not on mine. I've changed my settings so the top row acts as <F1>-<F12> and I have to use Fn to affect brightness, volume, etc. Perhaps that's why mine doesn't work. Though <Fn>+<PgUp> and <Fn>+<PgDn> work so I expected <Fn>+<R Ctrl> to also work.

I have my BIOS set to use Function keys as default as well. So I doubt that is it... Something is capturing that keypress instead of allowing it to pass the OS.

Interesting. I haven't installed much software yet so it seems unlikely it's something I added. Maybe I have a different BIOS version. I'll check for updates
