Acer Nitro AN515-54 G-sync on External Monitor using HDMI to DP adapter

I got a new monitor (ASUS VP249QGR) and I wanted to utilize it's Freesync feature but I couldn't find the G-sync menu on my nvidia control panel because I am connected via HDMI and Nitro 5 has no display port. If I use a HDMI to DP adapter, would G-sync work on my monitor?

Within the monitors OSD, is there any options for something like Game Mode, High refresh or enable freesync?0

And freesync is on on the OSD? It should work over HDMI, and would have less chance with the adapter

It looks like i was mistaken with the HDMI thing (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/292175/g-sync-support-over-hdmi/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/fdwt1g/does_gsync_work_over_displayport_to_hdmi_adapter/) . It looks like its only AMD which allows HDMI VRR

Ahhh! It does support HDMI but only HDMI 2.1, that explains why as i think the lg oleds have started shipping with 2.1 ports

I dont think it will as the refresh data / control channel will be missing, the best bet would be an active adater as they may preseve more of the signal but even then i would be supprised if it worked (Although if you do go with it and it does work please update!)1

hello I would like to know if they solved the problem, I have the adapter from hdmi to displey port but in the nvidia panel the g-sync configuration does not appear. What I can do ?
